Rotolito fires up its web offset presses every day to print weekly and monthly magazines for quick and impromptu use. They are generally products with a low number of pages and large print run, the exception being magazines in the premium band, such as fashion and art and design magazines that have large numbers of pages combined with the highest print quality. Rotolito can respond to this type of request with an innovative range of machines for large format pages.

This is a sector that is particularly close to our hearts since Rotolito started out fifty years ago with Diabolik, the legendary comic series designed by the amazing Giussani sisters. It is one of the most ‘Italian’ products which we have had the honour to print since its first issues in newsagents. Not just that: we can lay claim to being an important reference point for the publication of comics and mangas, both in b/w and 4 colours, which we print and package in our facilities, drawing on our significant experience in line printing.

One of Rotolito’s historical businesses is puzzle books. It has been producing Italy’s leading and iconic publication, the ‘Settimana Enigmistica’, for decades. These are simple, low-cost products that have longer publication lead times that other periodicals, but require specific machines to ensure efficient production. Timsons and roto-offset machines come to Rotolito’s aid in this case with special folding optimised for puzzle book formats.

The sticker or collectable album is a timeless product that was originally aimed at children, but has ended up appealing to adults and the younger generation as well. Many of the albums sold in newsagents are printed by Rotolito in their most cost-effective version, normally saddle-stitched or, in the more luxury version, bound with a hard cover, for ardent collectors. Special editions fall into this group of products, i.e. collectable books sold with a subscription.
